For Reel.

This is a picture of a model I'm sculpting in Maya of my dad. In my demo reel I might present it like a bust style sculpture in clay or marble.

Right now I'm refining the overall bone structure especially around the mouth and eye sockets as well as improving the topology for blend shapes.

First post

Hello
I'm not sure who might end up looking at this blog other than friends and family so I thought I should introduce myself. My name is Travis Smith and I'm originally from the small town of Gibsons, BC on the Sunshine Coast. I've had a love of Art from a very early age as I was first inspired to pick up a crayon and draw by my dad and older brothers.
Currently I'm attending the Art Institute of Vancouver taking the 3D Modeling for Animation and Games program. I'll be posting a fairly wide variety of work here, from Zbrush sculpts to digital concept art.

The first three images are quick concepts for a racing level for a student led group project called Grindhouse Racing. The last image is from a final assignment for Drawing and Perspective that I really enjoyed creating.
